The consortium consists of eight European partners with cross-disciplinary and complementary expertise in Transport and Logistics, training, and disability:

France

AFT, Association for the development of professional training in Transport (Project coordinator)

AFT is a non-profit association working to develop and promote training and employment in the Transport and Logistics sector. Its primary mission, set by public authorities, is to co-finance training, particularly for drivers (goods and passengers). Its broad range of services addresses all training and employment challenges:

  • Recruitment and attractiveness: Supporting companies through job fairs, innovative HR tools, and local expertise.
  • Promotion of professions: Public awareness campaigns and innovative tools in partnership with employment actors.
  • Training and employability: Creation of certifications, development of educational resources, and access to over 500 digital modules.
  • Institutional support: Analysis of trends to guide decisions on employment and skills.
  • Equality and inclusion: Commitment to a more inclusive and equitable profession.

 

CHEOPS – National council for disability & employment of specialized placement organizations

CHEOPS represents Cam emploi (organizations assisting people with disabilities and their employers) to public authorities, economic decision-makers, and social partners.

CHEOPS’s ongoing actions include:

  • Contributing to the definition and implementation of policies for employment access, training, and job retention for people with disabilities.

  • Professionalizing teams and stakeholders involved in managing human resources for the employment of people with disabilities, particularly through CHEOPS’s training center.

Germany

DEKRA SE

Founded in 1925 to ensure road safety, DEKRA SE is now one of the world’s leading expert organizations in vehicle testing, inspection, and certification. One of DEKRA SE’s eight main service areas is training, focusing on professional training related to green mobility, future transport and logistics, and the use of energy storage systems.  

The division of advisory and training services participating in the DiTL project coordinates DEKRA SE’s global training activities, focusing on innovative digital training and implementing vocational education research in related topics.

Ireland

Transformotion IRL

Transformotion IRL is a consultancy and training company that strives to improve carrers, skills, and opportunities for individuals working in the road transport sector.

The organization develops immersive training products that, for instance, allow professional drivers to experience a completely new perspective on road safety, behavior, and risk management. These products aim to enhance understanding and practical application in safety-related scenarios.

In addition, Transformotion IRL creates customized training products for professional drivers and supports companies in implementing more fficient management practices for their vehicle fleets and drivers. These solutions are tailored to address the specific needs of businesses in the sector while improving overall safety and operational performance.

Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI)

The Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI), founded in 1970, is the leading Irish charity supporting drivers and passengers with disabilities nationwide.

The association works to promote independence and equal opportunities through initiatives in mobility, education, and training. Its core missions include:

  • Administering the European Union parking card for people with disabilities.
  • Providing advice and guidance to its members on the best solutions, compensation measures, and vehicle adaptations to meet their mobility needs.
  • Supporting its members in addressing questions related to obtaining and maintaining a driver’s license.

The DDAI also works to positively represent physical disabilities, demonstrating that most physical challenges can be overcome with the right training and support. It strives to highlight the potential of individuals with disabilities and enable them to achieve independence and full participation in society.

Portugal

IPTrans

The Instituto Profissional de Transportes is a training institute offering both initial and continuing vocational training at secondary and higher education levels. It also provides recognition, validation, and certification of adult skills.

Its mission is to guarantee excellence in promoting education, training, and certification, as well as the professional and social inclusion of young people and workers.

IPTrans is committed to fostering innovation in training methodologies and supporting professionals in the Transport and Logistics sector. By focusing on adaptability and inclusivity, the institute ensures that training opportunities meet the diverse needs of its students.

Fundação AFID Diferença

The AFID Diferença Foundation was created by the National association of families for the integration of disabled people (AFID). It is a social solidarity institution dedicated to promoting autonomy, social support, health, education, and sustainable training while fighting exclusion.  

Key objectives include:

  • Providing high-quality rehabilitation, healthcare, education, training, and professional inclusion services.
  • Preventing institutionalization by promoting inclusive social environments for people with disabilities.
  • Supporting disadvantaged populations, including elderly individuals and youth.
  • Offering art therapy and cultural activities as a tool for social integration.
  • Raising community awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and other marginalized groups.

The foundation focuses on the development and implementation of programs to enhance accessibility, ensuring people with disabilities can fully participate in society.

Spain

Institut Escola del Treball

The Institut Escola del Treball, located in Lleida, Catalonia, offers a wide range of vocational training programs, including those related to Transport and Logistics (EQF levels 4 and 5).

The institute specializes in dual training programs covering areas such as commerce, carpentry, administration, and logistics. It also offers specific training programs (IFE pathways) designed fort young people aged 16 to 20 with mild to moderate disabilities.

The IFE training pathways are aimed at fostering autonomy, social interaction, and professional integration. The programs rely on a practical and experiential methodology in an inclusive environment tailored to the needs of the learners. One of the modules focuses on order preparation, which aligns with the tasks and roles found in warehousing professions. This module equips students with the necessary skills for professional success while promoting their inclusion in the workforce.
