At DiTL, we believe that inclusion is more than just a concept — it’s a true commitment to creating real and accessible opportunities for all.
One of our partners, Institut Escola del Treball in Spain, is a shining example of this vision through its program IFE – Auxiliary in Sales and Customer Service. Specifically designed for students with disabilities, this course combines professional training with personalized support, placing a strong emphasis on hands-on learning.
An Innovative Approach Bridging Education and Employment
During the 2024–2025 academic year, the IFE program took a major step forward by implementing a project-based learning methodology. This approach aims to bring the classroom closer to the professional world by involving local logistics companies in practical learning activities.
As a result, students have had the opportunity to:
- Carry out logistics tasks such as order packing and delivery (on foot or by public transport) to Troballes stores and the El Palet association.
- Gain warehouse experience, including operating pallet trucks at Quierovinos.com.
- Develop essential soft skills such as responsibility, autonomy, teamwork, and communication — all while understanding the real-world expectations of the logistics industry.
More Than Technical Training
The benefits of this program go well beyond technical know-how. Students gain greater self-confidence, a clearer vision of their career path, and most importantly, recognition of their abilities by the local job market.
These achievements demonstrate how inclusive education, when aligned with industry needs, can genuinely open the door to sustainable employment opportunities for people with disabilities in transport and logistics.
At DiTL, we are proud to highlight such inspiring initiatives and to contribute to building a professional ecosystem that is fairer, more accessible, and more diverse.
